SAY YES Prayer Initiative January 2020
SAY YES Prayer Initiative January 2020
Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus, we wish you all a blessed New Year.
On behalf of SAY YES may I thank you for the prayer support that you have given during 2019, we look forward to your ongoing support for 2020.
Top of our list is still Mark. It is a slow recovery, although he is beginning to pick up the reigns he is still short of the energy he needs. He is co-operating with his with his consultants and trusting God at each step and we expect that he will not try to do too much too quickly. So it is in this situation that we would ask for your continued prayers, not just for him but his family as well.
While Mark continues to improve the executive agreed that we should progress with a consultation in the Albrighton area. This is more than Mark could physically manage even at full health – it is more than a single person could run as well as maintaining current work. John Proctor, who has been working with us for a long time, is being asked to undertake this Albrighton project.
His organisation “Youth Catalyst” is already involved in youth development beyond his home base of Bridgnorth, extending into Telford and other areas of Shropshire, so his expertise and vision will be a valuable contribution. Essentially the consultation will cover the schools, the churches and the community with a view to developing proposals from whatever emerges. This has the potential to take us into a whole new level of work. So please pray for John and God’s purpose, that we may be ready to carry out what is laid before us.
So in broader terms I invite you to pray for the Holy Spirit that His power and guidance may be at work in all we do during this coming year. That He will raise up the necessary volunteers and finance so that it will be His purpose that we achieve and to His glory.
Finally as always, please pray for a young person from your own community
God bless you all

'Amanda Ellis will be running the London Marathon once again in 2020. She is raising money for the whizz-kids.org.uk charity. They provide wheelchairs for disabled youngsters. Many of you were kind enough to sponsor her when she did it last time. The has to raise £2000 for the charity. In return for your donations, she is giving you homemade soaps. She cannot sell them but can provide them to order for presents in presentation boxes.I have some samples of the soap choices which will be available to see on Sunday 24th November.
If for example, you wish to sponsor her for £10 she will provide 4 soaps in a box or 1 soap for a sponsorship of £3. The soaps are made from natural products and smell heavenly. Donations can be by cash, cheque payable to "Whizz-Kids" or online at Virgin Money.
Many thanks Di Ellis'
